The program serves teens ages 13–19, and involves parents and caregivers, health service staff, school nurses, staff and teachers, along with other community members.

This school-based safe room is stocked with educational materials and resources. There is a Mon-Fri schedule of subject-matter experts to assist youth in accessing care. Three days a week, the room is staffed with a licensed therapist from Bridges Counseling; on one day, a sexual assault/domestic violence advocate from Safe Passage Inc; and on one day, the County Health Department is there to assist with healthcare needs.

The Lawrenceburg Community Center has created a safe room in its public building, with access to materials and space for therapist meetings. The staff are huge supporters of this initiative and even painted a mural in the room to show their support! The Lawrenceburg Community Center is located on Walnut Street in downtown Lawrenceburg and is open Monday-Friday, 7 am-8:00 pm, and Saturday, 8 am-3 pm.

We understand that navigating the healthcare system can be confusing and overwhelming. That's why we offer a variety of resources to our youth, including educational materials, support groups, and access to general care to help manage their health. The safe room is open on Mondays, Tue, Thursdays, and Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, and on Wednesdays, 8:30 am-7 pm.
